    Got a Big Idea?

Great! Come and present your big idea that will change the agriculture in Africa utilizing spatial data/analysis. Once selected as the Best Big Idea, we will help you finding the right mentorship who can help developing your idea into a reality!

    How Does It Work?

It’d be somewhat like an X-Factor show.

    1. For each applicant, we will give 2-minute to pitch your idea, followed by audience’s quick screening (raise your hand if you like it!). From the audience’s response, five ideas will be selected.
    2. If your idea is selected as one of the five, you’ll be asked to form a group to shape it into a 5-minute presentation. It’s entirely up to you who’d be in your team. You can openly recruit impromptu in the room (join me if you like my idea!).
    3. Each team will give a 5-minute short/lighting presentation to the expert panel of four. After each presentations, the panel will give critique. The presentation should answer to following questions:
      • Significance — how will this idea change the world and impact your life?
      • Relevance — what groups and individuals does this idea most affect?
      • Application — how can this idea change the way you think or act?
    4. The panel will choose two of the Best Big Ideas from the pool! The panel will help finding the right mentor/collaboraters, if needed depending on how big your idea is, and give guidance on how to strategically materialize the idea reality!

    How to Participate?

First, think through your idea today, and prepare a short 2-minute speech pitching your idea. At this stage, don’t worry too much on how exactly the idea can possibly be implemented. If the pathway is too easy already, it might not be so much a big idea! There is a good reason we call the big idea BIG IDEA!

    Any Prize?

Yes, yes, of course. There will be small prizes for those pass the audition!

    Good luck!

We’ll be looking forward to hearing your Big Ideas!
