This exercise seeks to collate, harmonize and map data on T&T at the regional level with a view to assisting initiatives and understand implications on control of trans-boundary diseases. Assessment on prevalence would aid in bringing available information into a common repository with decision support tools for enabling spatial analysis
Noting that disparate initiatives have been carried out on African Animal Trypanosomiasis (AAT) with little or no emphasis placed on understanding it’s (AAT) ‘spatialness’ majority of data and information emanating from these initiatives exist only as reports particularly so for the study countries i.e. Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia (ICIPE, 2010).
